How do I find out about research being undertaken at AIMS?
  -Research Plan 2003-2006 is our current 3 year plan of work.

How do I find out who's who at AIMS?
  -Organisational Structure has information about the Council, senior management and staff and organisation of AIMS.

Contacting the Institute covers all contacts at the Institute.

Staff, associate staff and visitors - make enquires via the AIMS reception.

 
Does AIMS have a resource area useful for school students?
  -ProjectNet contains a lot of material for use by students and teachers. This community project of the Institute has won several educational awards and links to a vast network of other marine related material  and resources for school projects.

 
How do I deliver goods or materials to the Institute?
  -Deliveries to the Institute provides postal and delivery addresses and who to contact.

 
Whom do I contact if I require some in depth information about research or business at AIMS?
  -Organisational Structure will provide you with contact details for the Chief Scientist, Research Director or Executive Manager, Business and Finance.

 
How do I order publications through the AIMS Bookshop?
  -Bookshop provides a complete book catalogue and information for placing orders. Eventually all AIMS publications will be either available as on-line publications or for purchase via an eCommerce shopping mall.

 
How do I find out about tours of AIMS?
  -Tours has information about public and special group tours of the Institute.

 
Can I use the AIMS library?
  The AIMS library is available for students, researchers and the general public.

Whom do I contact if I require any general information about marine science?
  AIMS has a full information service and can help students and others with general information pertaining to our particular areas of research.

Where do I find information about a career in marine science?
  The best book available on this subject is Careers in Marine Science (5th edition), edited by Dr Craig Johnson and Katherine Bleakley, Australian Marine Sciences Association Inc., 1993.

Where do I find information about working at AIMS?   -Current employment opportunities lists positions currently available at the Institute as well as general information about applying for positions.

 
I still can't seem to find what I'm looking for. What should I do?
  Try the following:

-Search the AIMS Web site using keywords.
-Site map contains pages listed by information streams.
-Site index is a list sorted by titles. 
-Topics index is a list sorted by subject.

If all else fails....  then email the AIMS webmaster. The webmaster will either locate the information for you on our web site or provide you with links to enable you to seek the information elsewhere.
